On Point Contracting Relies on Free Layout and Quote Services
"The sheer volume of times we use this quote service speaks to how integral RMSG's support is to our business success," says Nick Piontek, Founder and CEO of On Point Contracting out of Littleton, CO. "We rely on Rocky Mountain Snow Guards to ensure we know exactly how many snow guards, bars and fences to use and the precise installation pattern needed. This is all based on the specific snow loads for each address and the service is crucial to us securing clients. With their expertise, we stay on the fast track to accuracy and efficiency every time."
Quoting 7,500+ Projects a Year
Our Quote Department routinely creates about 30 free project quotes a day. Architects, engineers, contractors and homeowners complete the online Free Layout and Quote Request Form and send in blueprints, drawings or reports from EagleView™, RoofScope®, and Hover®. Customized snow retention plans (SRP), product lists and installation instructions are created for free for each project.
The quote team experts take into account key considerations such as the snow load for a region, roof pitch, roofing material and a variety of other factors when putting together a snow retention plan (diagram). Once created, the package from Rocky Mountain Snow Guards includes a product list, SRP diagram for placement of snow retention products and installation instructions. Products are then shipped free within the 48 contiguous United States.
Challenging Solar Panel Installation
According to Piontek, out of the more than 200 snow retention projects his company has completed, one of the most challenging involved reconfiguring 11 solar panels on a roof and adding Drift Solar 4-pipe Snow Fence. The solar panels had to be repositioned from a portrait to landscape orientation while its racking system was also transposed. The lower portion of the roof was recovered and the Drift Solar Snow Fence was added to safely handle the melting conditions of falling snow.
Designed specifically for snow retention below solar panel installations, the 12" tall, 4-pipe aluminum Drift Solar snow retention system ensures snow does not slip past it. The "reverse" installation of the brackets and use of ice screen creates and serves as a "catch basin" for the snow.
"As with every snow retention project we do, we relied on the free design and quote services team at Rocky Mountain Snow Guards to tell us where to place the snow retention products," says Piontek. "Their game plans always lead us in the right direction. This is a partnership that's been snowballing for years in the best possible way!"
