RG16 Snow Guards on Six Townhomes

When roofer Scott Kim made a deal to re-roof 6 townhomes on the same street in Reston, Virginia, he knew he'd need snow guards. A LOT of snow guards.

The owner of WGM Contracting out of Fairfax, Virginia, didn't hesitate. He contacted Rocky Mountain Snow Guards to place his order for dark bronze RG16 snow guards.

"We were replacing deteriorated real shakes on six different townhomes with DaVinci Select Shake," says Kim, owner of WGM Contracting. "Composite roofing products need snow retention assistance. We've successfully installed RG16 snow guards on DaVinci products before. It's definitely one of our 'go to' products."

Made specifically for installation with synthetic and natural slate and shake roofs, the 16-inch-long metal snow guards require a minimum of three ring-shank nails per unit during installation.

"The townhouses on Chapel Cross Way are close together on this street," says Kim. "It's really smart that we've installed the snow guards to help prevent the avalanching of snow on key entrance and walkway areas. These durable RG16 snow guards will definitely be an asset when winter weather comes to town.
